Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I check my filter & where is it located?
  • You should check your filter monthly.
  • Depending on the filter size, we recommend changing the filter every 1-3 months.
  • Typically, the filter is on either side of the furnace or near the top or bottom.
  • (TIP: The arrows on the filter should face toward the furnace)
Why doesn't my AC seem to be keeping up?
  • The condenser or filter may be dirty causing restricted airflow.
  • If the condenser is dirty you can hose it off.
  • If the filter is dirty, replace it.
Why am I seeing water on the floor around my furnace?

There may be an obstruction or kink in the drain lines.

What if I'm still having issues?
  • Verify that nothing is blocking your vents and all vents are open.

  • Replace your thermostat batteries yearly.

  • Replace carbon monoxide batteries every 6 months to 1 year.

  • If you don’t have power to a unit, check your breaker box to ensure no breakers are tripped and no fuses are blown.

  • If you are experiencing issues with your unit, turn the lightswitch off for 5 minutes to try resetting the system. (The switch is typically located on the side or near the furnace.)
